So often we focus all of our attention (and budget) on the reception that we forget about the true reason for this celebration: your wedding ceremony! I am guilty as charged… There are many budget friendly ways to add elegance and style to your ceremony, whether it be a church, temple, backyard or tented ceremony. Whatever décor you use at your ceremony, you can find a place for it in your reception. Just delegate a trustworthy gent (outside of the bridal party) to be responsible for the transportation and let you wedding coordinator take it from there. Here are some ideas!
If your ceremony and reception are in the same location, most florists will work with you to utilize your centerpieces as ceremony décor. Some will even stay to help with the shift into the reception area… but don’t tell them I told you! Add some rose petals or candles and voilà!
This simple ceremony backdrop will make for some gorgeous photos! With some fabric or ribbon, and a
few up lights (if your budget allows) you can create the same effect.
Pillows! Who would of thought! Why not provide some extra cushioning as your guests watch on?
Paper lanterns – cheap and can be bought anywhere. One and done OR reuse them again in the future for another celebration!
Ask friends and family to gather up their vases and hurricanes… try adding different styles/colors of candles or stick to white to create a romantic effect.
Seems tedious, but enlist your brideslaves, I mean bridesmaids to help create these paper hearts!
